Henderson Community Days will be a Super Weekend

logo     It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a Super Hero weekend during Henderson’s Community Days.  Grab your cap and head to Henderson on July 8, 9 and 10 with games and activities for all ages.

Henderson High School Alumnus David Epp will be performing with his band Enigma, in the Downtown Park starting at 7 pm after the Chamber BBQ on Friday evening. Come to hear this ultimate acoustic experience.

Many favorite act
ivities are back this year such as an Art Show, Selfie Scavenger Hunt, Heritage Park Pancake Feed, human foosball, a pool party,  HHCS Jr. Auxiliary Jaunt, Show and Shine Car Show, the Main Street Parade, Inflatables , a golf tournament, Chamber Beef BBQ, community church service, a youth 3 on 3 basketball tournament and alumni basketball and volleyball tournaments.

This year many new activities have also been added to the list incl uding: a Harold Lloyd silent movie, a rock the block street party, kids games hosted by the Heartland FFA, and two free concerts.  Henderson High School Alum, David Epp will perform with his band Enigma on Friday after the Chamber Beef BBQ and the String Beans will perform Saturday morning.  After the parade bring your car, truck, jeep or motorcycle to the Poker Run which will start at Hiebner Body Shop and will make three stops before returning to Henderson.

The Main Street Parade will be heading down Main Street starting at 4 pm on Saturday.  Spectators are encouraged to find a seat in the shade along Main Street and Front Street.  Entries will be announced by KTMX Max Country in front of City Hall.

Kids are encouraged to come sing and dance at the String Beans Concert Saturday in the Downtown Park at 10 a.m. This concert is free and produced in part by a grant from the Nebraska Arts Council.
