Henderson boasts two beautiful city parks, and heritage park along with  a golf course, aquatic center, baseball/softball complex and a wide variety of activities for adults and youth alike. Henderson Downtown Park

The Henderson Downtown Park is located half a block away from Henderson’s Main Street.  With lush green grass, shade provided by various trees, a picnic shelter, and gazebo, you can use this park for anything from family gatherings to a relaxing walk. The park also includes a play structure, tornado slide, swing set, band stage and restrooms to keep you and your family entertained.  The Downtown Park is where you will find the Henderson Farmers Markets on Tuesday from 5-7pm in June, July and August as well as many Community Days activities during the second weekend in July.

 
Lakeview Park

Lakeview Park is a great place for highly active families to relax and enjoy time together.  You’ll find a one mile cement trail around the park, a picnic shelter, lake, tennis courts, two play structures and aquatic center.  Located adjacent to the Henderson Sports Complex, this park is a perfect spot to take a break between baseball and softball games.

 
Henderson Heritage Park

Henderson Heritage Park is located 1 mile north of Henderson. This park offers a glimpse into the life of early settlers in the Henderson area. Featuring a replica immigrant house, general store, school house, barn, farm house and church, there is a wealth of information about the history of Henderson. This park is open Wednesday through Saturday from 1-4 pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day and a private tours can be arranged by calling Marj Smith at (402) 723 – 5793.
