The 2016 Celebrate Henderson Banquet is approaching on Monday, January 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the MB Church.  This event is for all community members, employees and business owners as we celebrate everything that Henderson accomplished this past year and get motivated for next year. This year our banquet sponsors include:  Cornerstone Bank and Kroeker and Kroeker Insurance and Real Estate.

Those attending the banquet will have the privilege to listen to Dr. Tammy Beck, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and External Engagement for the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She will motivate those in attendance to “Find Passion at Work” whether it is through a job or volunteering.

Everyone wants a job that plays to personal strengths and aligns with their values and passions.  Job crafting provides individuals with a method for viewing and reshaping jobs they do in ways to make such alignment a reality.  Businesses and workplaces that embrace job crafting find employees at all levels become re-energized in the workplace, thereby raising productivity and job satisfaction.  This process can help individuals find greater meaning in their work and it also offers them the ability to cope with future adversity.

This banquet is open to anyone who is interested in attending from community members to business owners and employees, but all tickets must be purchased at the Chamber office ahead of time. A table of eight can be purchased at a reduced rate.  Contact the Henderson Chamber of Commerce at City Hall, by calling 723-4228 or emailing hchamber@mainstaycomm.net, to purchase your tickets for the 2016 Celebrate Henderson Banquet on Monday, January 25, at the Mennonite Brethren Church at 6:30 p.m.
